Assistant Professor

Amedeo Arena is Assistant Professor of European Union Law at the School of Law at the University of Naples “Federico II” and sits on the academic committee of the JSD Program in EU Competition Law. He holds a JSD from the University of Naples “Federico II” as well as LLM degrees from King’s College London and New York University, where he was also a Fulbright Scholar. He is the author of several publications on competition and regulatory matters, including a monograph on public services in economic integration agreements (Editoriale Scientifica, 2011) and a monograph on media law in Italy (Kluwer Law, 2012). He participated as legal expert in a number of international research projects, including the "Global Administrative Law Project on Competition Law Enforcement and Governance" (NYU-University of Toronto), "Citizens’ Right to Information: Law and Policy in the EU and its Member States” (Institute of European Media Law / European Parliament), and “INVODAS – Balancing the interests in the context of data retention” (Institute for European Media Law / University of Kassel).
