Alexandru is a member of the competition and corporate groups in our Bucharest office. Alexandru has 5 years’ experience advising companies from the life sciences sector, FMCG and retail in all matters related to antitrust law. Alexandru’s competition law expertise includes advising clients with respect to their relationship with the Romanian Competition Council, in both sector inquiries and targeted investigations aimed at potential breaches of both Romanian Competition Law and EU competition rules. Alexandru has also been involved in the preparation and implementation of antitrust compliance programs for a number of clients, including trainings, presentations and competition audits. He is also involved in the assessment of day-to-day competition-related implications on a wide range of business models, ie analysis of contractual clauses, discount policies, distribution schemes, assessment of promotional campaigns etc. His corporate experience includes advising international and domestic companies in M&As and restructuring matters. He has been involved in numerous due diligence exercises and merger control filings. During 2011-2012 Alexandru followed the courses of a specialized Competition Law LL.M. at Queen Mary, University of London.
