Alberto Escudero Puente joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2020. He is a partner in charge of the competition law practice area. He has more than twenty years of professional experience in competition law matters. He provides preventive advice to companies to ensure that their commercial policies and commercial contracts comply with competition rules, in areas such as collaboration agreements between competitors; distribution systems; and abuse of dominant position. He has implemented competition law compliance programmes. He also represents companies in administrative sanctioning and judicial proceedings for infringements of competition rules. He has extensive experience in notifying merger operations before the National Markets and Competition Commission and the European Commission. He advises companies in various sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare technology, energy, logistics, audiovisual, franchising and industrials. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association for the Defence of Competition. He publishes academic articles and is a speaker at conferences and seminars on competition law. He holds a degree in Law, specialising in EU Law, from the Universidad San Pablo CEU and has postgraduate studies in European Union Law from the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and in Competition Law from Kings College (London).
