Theofanis Christoforou

Principal Legal Adviser

Theofanis Christoforou is a Principal Legal Adviser (Director) at the European Commission Legal Service responsible for competition law and merger control. He joined the Commission in 1983 after studying law in Greece, and at the University College London, College of Europe and at Harvard Law School. He also practiced law as a member of the Bar of Thessaloniki, Greece. Mr Christoforou has also published a number of articles on EU and international law.
