How did you become the general counsel of ABI ? Tell us about your background. I joined InBev (prior to our combination with Anheuser-Busch) in Belgium in 2004 after twelve years in various roles based in Europe and the Americas at Diageo plc. Prior to that, I was a corporate lawyer at the law firm of Lovell White Durrant in London. I studied law at the London School of Economics and am qualified to practice in England and New York State. In terms of background, I am an American citizen with Indian and German parentage and grew up in India and the Philippines. I have been married to my British husband for twenty-five years and am mother to a 17-year-old daughter. ABI’s acquisition of SABMiller was one that fundamentally changed the global beer landscape.
