The Romanian Competition Authority accepts commitments of the national football federation in relation to the joint selling of the media rights (Federația Română de Fotbal / Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal din România)

On 19 April 2011 the Romanian Competition Authority (CC) [1] accepted the commitments proposed by the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) [2] and, one of its members, the Romanian Professional Football League (LPF) [3] in relation to the joint selling of the media rights and thus closed its investigation into the existence of anticompetitive practices on the national market for media rights over football competitions organized by the specified associations. Concerned with the centralized marketing of the media rights over football competitions, the CC commenced its ex officio investigation in 2009. The statutes of the FRF and the LPF provided that their members (football clubs) granted to the associations an exclusive right to sell
