Bundeskartellamt clears EWE's acquisition of a majority interest in VNG* Today the Bundeskartellamt has cleared the acquisition of a further 15.79% of the shares in VNG AG, Leipzig, by EWE AG, Oldenburg. EWE AG acquired the shares from Wintershall Holding GmbH, Kassel. EWE AG will now hold a total of 63.69% of the shares in VNG and gain sole control of the company under merger control law.
