The EU Commission approves after an in-depth investigation the creation of a joint venture in the music industry (Sony / BMG)

"Following an in-depth investigation the Commission approved the creation of the Sony/BMG music recording joint venture on 19 July 2004"* Over the last 15 years, the music industry has witnessed the process of gradual consolidation.
