The Spanish Parliament adopts and suspends new regime for motor vehicle distribution

On 5 March 2011, the Sustainable Economy Act (the “Act”) entered into force in Spain. This Act included, inter alia, a number of mandatory provisions which were to apply to all motor vehicle distribution contracts. The main features of this new regime can be summarised as follows.
