The Serbian Competition Authority issues leniency guidelines

On 30 August 2010 the Serbian Competition Authority (KZK) [1] released the long-awaited Leniency Guidelines [2] that regulate the procedure of application for and granting of immunity from fines or reduction of fines for participation in an anticompetitive agreement in violation of the national equivalent of Article 101 TFEU. Article 69 of the Law on Protection of Competition [3] (in force from 1 November 2009) provides that participant in a restrictive agreement which was the first to report the existence of that agreement to the KZK and provided requisite evidence not available to the KZK at the time of application can be granted an immunity from fines for the infringement of competition law [4].
