Katrin Schallenberg advises in all areas of competition law. She joined Clifford Chance’s Paris office in 2005 and has been working on complex merger and behavioral cases. She spent over two years in London, where she was part of the team advising Reuters in its phase 2 merger process with Thomson and spent time at the Office of Fair Trading as Senior Legal Adviser. Katrin has been advising Shell on a variety of merger and behavioural cases, including as in-house antitrust counsel as part of a client secondment. Given her international profile and experience, Katrin has developed strong relationships with multinational clients advising them on merger control aspects of transactions and French related antitrust matters. Katrin also advises French clients, including a large industrial group, for which she has been doing antitrust and compliance work for several years. Prior to joining Clifford Chance, Katrin worked for Gleiss Lutz in Brussels and Salans in Paris. Katrin holds a law degree from the University of Vienna and an LLM from Georgetown University Law School. Katrin is a member of the Paris and New York Bar.
