Sonia Perez Romero is an attorney specialized in international law and banking, trained in civil law and common law. In 2008 she joined Hogan Lovells International LLP as associate in the Corporate & Competition Law Department and later on, in the Litigation & Arbitration Department. In 2012 she joined Barclays Bank Spain as Legal Counsel and later on, as Senior Compliance Officer in the AML team. In 2015 she joined Euler Hermes (Allianz Group) as Compliance Manager. Sonia Perez Romero is a qualified lawyer in Spain (2008) and in New York State (2014) Sonia Pérez Romero obtained the Degree in Law at Universidad de Granada in 2007 (Prize to the Best Student of Promotion 2002-2007). In 2008 she obtained a scholarship by MAE-AECID to study the Master in European Legal Studies at the College of Europe (Bruges), and in 2014 she studied an LLM in International Litigation and Banking at Columbia University (New York) thanks to La Caixa Fellowship funding. She has also studied in different foreign academic institutions such as Loyola University of Chicago, Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and The Hague Academy.
