Dr. Matthew Gaved is a Partner at Added Value Capital Partners. He is the Co-Founder of the firm. Dr. Gaved also serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Tissuomics Ltd. He has board experience as a director of a number of Cambridge-based technology companies including; Antenova (antennae for mobile network devices), IDTechEx (RFID specialists), Datanomic (data quality and risk management systems), Polatis optical network switches) and Astron Clinica (medical technology, until 2003). He was also a co-founder of Antenova, IDTechEx and Datanomic. In December 2009 he joined the Board of Datanomic as a non-executive Director. He has specialised in the field of corporate governance and carried out extensive research into the role of institutional investors in the control of failing public companies and the role of investor relations and stakeholder communications in corporate governance processes. For five years he was the Editor of the international newsletter ’Governance’ and had reports published by the ICAEW, The Conference Board and the OECD. Dr Gaved’s earlier career was in sales and marketing roles in the UK and internationally for consumer brands. This included a period working in Singapore for a specialist consumer products distribution company. Matthew Gaved has a BSc from Durham University, an MBA from the London Business School (LBS), an International Management Programme diploma (LBS/HEC France/NYU) and a PhD from the London School of Economics. He has also recently completed a Masters in Finance, also at LBS.
