Alev Bayraktar is Senior Associate Lawyer at Gide Loyrette Nouel. She is admitted to the Istanbul Bar and holds a Master’s Degree in Private Law from University of Toulouse I, France and a license’s Degree in Law from University of Galatasaray. Alev mainly concentrates in corporate and commercial transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions and privatizations and has extensive experience in conducting due diligence exercises, reviewing project documents, and in structuring, drafting and perfecting M&A agreements. Besides M&A work, Alev has considerable experience in notifying M&A transactions to the Turkish Competition Authority in order to obtain authorization, in representing clients in the scope of the investigations based on alleged violations of the competition law and in providing legal advice in connection with the risks of anti-competitive practices. She has also a strong expertise in the drafting of vertical agreements in compliance with the provisions of the Turkish competition law and related communiqués. She speaks Turkish, English and French.
