Paulo Gonçalves works as an economist in the Portuguese Competition Authority's Merger Department. Paulo has been a case handler in the main merger cases of his Agency, covering industries as diverse as telecommunications, transportation, consumer goods and energy. Paulo lectures on applied microeconomics to law students at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Paulo obtained a degree in Economics from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and pursued his postgraduate studies in Applied Microeconomics and Industrial Organization at the same University.
