Alexandre Carpentier studied European and International Law at University Montpelllier I (2003) and Business Law at University Carlos III of Madrid (2004). He obtained a DESS in European Law at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (2005) and he is currently preparing the bar exam. He has been trainee at the French Competition Council in 2005 (European unit), at the European Commission in 2006 (DG Enterprise and Industry, Unit A4: Competitiveness aspects of competition policy), and at Ashurst Paris in 2007 (Competition department).
